Job Description
- Interiors and Cabin Avionics Engineering is responsible for design definition, integration, installation and certification of cabin components for the interiors of all of airline’s fleet, in support of corporate strategic and tactical initiatives
- Responsible for regulatory compliance; operational support; reliability; durability; safety; passenger satisfaction; and performance of their assigned system to include seats, galleys, sidewalls, overhead bins, IFE, lavs, PED power, closets, lighting, and any other related equipment.
- Specific fleet responsibilities may be assigned
- Responsibilities include direct coordination with OEM, modification sites, internal and external customers to support the design, development, maintenance, safety, and compliance of interior equipment
- Responsible for total project ownership from a technical standpoint, culminating in the coordination and authoring of various engineering documents
- Will work with high-tech materials that must meet stringent structural, flammability and appearance requirements
- Develops and maintains awareness of pertinent industry activities and technology trends
- Establishes work prioritization and balances multiple concurrent projects
- Coordinates projects with internal and external organizations, including various commodity suppliers
- Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
- Responsible for ensuring that the Safety program is followed and CAS program, Reliability Program are complied with according to the requirements of TOPP

Job Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, similar technical degree, or equivalent is preferred
- Extensive industry and regulatory interfaces
- Thorough knowledge of Federal, state and local laws, including FARs, DOT, OSHA, FCC, etc
- Knowledge and experience with major airline operations
- Knowledge of Technical Operations policies and procedures
- Ability to analyze incomplete information and implement timely decision making while mitigating risk factors
- Ability to effectively generate detailed engineering documents
- Ability to interpret analytical reports, CFRs, ADs, and other engineering documents/drawings
- Must be able to make sound engineering decisions and develop the documentation to support these decisions
- Working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, and Access) and AutoCAD (or similar CAD software)
- Knowledge of EARTH engineering software application is desired
- Previous experience with cabin configurations and/or aircraft interiors is desired
Temp/Package This is a temporary Position paying an hourly rate of $38.00-$40.00 and with an attractive benefits package, including flight privileges.
