Remove and replace components in landing gear, flight controls, and all subsystems for the P-3 type aircraft. Able to trouble shoot and rig all systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:Remove and replace components in landing gear, flight controls, and all subsystems for the P-3 type aircraft. Able to trouble shoot and rig all systems. HS Diploma and 3+ years with P-3 aircraft experience (required for Flightlne) and/or C-130. Must be able to trouble shoot and rig all systems. Must be able to read and interpret NAVAIR manuals and all related maintenance publications for the P-3 . Must be able to read blueprints and interpret client drawings. Experience in Depot level PDM maintenance on P3 aircraft desired. The technician must be able to identify and troubleshoot aircraft systems and components. Candidate must be knowledgeable in aircraft systems operation to include landing gear, power plants, flight controls, disassembly, reassembly, rigging and aircraft movement. Must be able to read and speak English. Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. In order to perform the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, work overhead, perform repetitive movements, and talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or push or pull up to 20 pounds and frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
