Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for directing the production operations of the FAA facility and coordinating activities of paint production in a manner consistent with previously established corporate policies and procedures and production objectives. Subordinate functions include production, maintenance, facilities, etc. � Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
Review work of subordinates to ensure the function/task is correct and complete and take corrective action and/or training if necessary.
Addresses employee questions and concerns presented within the work crew. If questions and concerns are not resolved, ensures that employee concerned is given the opportunity to seek further assistance through the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor;
Perform daily/post flight/thru flight inspections as required and performs necessary maintenance to correct any malfunctions.
Conduct off station maintenance when required.
Effectively communicate with the customer in a courteous, professional manner and research any reported aircraft discrepancies through fault isolation to make repairs.
Service aircraft with fuel, oil, etc. in preparation for flight.
Maintain aircraft log books, status reports, historical and administrative data as required.
Comply with applicable Government and FAA rules and regulations on maintenance and follow appropriate aircraft technical data.
May be required to function as Safety/Training/Supply point of contact in the FBO concept at AOS-U or AOS-A site�s;
May be required to exercise independent judgment and travel or relocate to other geographical locations including foreign countries.
May be required to have a security clearance and passport in the performance of duties.

Qualifications:

Bachelor�s degree -or- Three (3) years recent experience working full time as an aircraft mechanic -or- Five (5) years of On Job Training.
Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate

Job Description:

The Chief Inspector is responsible for all FAA regulatory, safety, EPA and Haz Mat oversight at the repair station.
This person must hold a valid A&P License and have extensive Quality and Inspection background.
The individual will have the authority and responsibility to make final decisions on all airworthiness matters and will be the primary contact with the FAA FSDO assigned PMI and all customer quality issues.

Core Responsibilities:

Ensures that all work performed is in accordance with approved AMM, SRM, RSM, QCM, Repair Station Ratings, FAR�s, and current company Policies and Procedures.
Ensures that all Project paperwork packages are prepared in accordance with RSM/QCM, have assigned Work Order numbers and Production is fully trained on the Customers paperwork policies and procedures.
Ensures that the FAA approved Training Program, including OJT training, is followed, and all personnel training records are kept current, through a monthly audit program to Insure that all Inspection and Maintenance Personnel are trained to the standards listed in the approved Training Manual.
A report will be generated every 30 days listing the status of each employee and any future training requirements.
The President and facility General Manager will receive a copy.
Responsible for all activities of Inspection personnel, final inspection checklist, designated inspectors program and rosters, all receiving inspections, facilities audits, safety audits, environmental audits and Haz Mat audits and paperwork.�
Accomplishes receiving inspections on all incoming aircraft, paying close attention to all fuselage dents and dings, all windows, flight controls and composite areas.
A digital picture file will be established for all aircraft being inducted for work into the facility for future reference.
Conduct monthly CASE audits of the facility, in phases, to insure that a complete CASE audit has been conducted in a 12 month period.
Audit findings will be submitted to the responsible supervisor/manager for correction, if findings require action, the President and the facility General Manager.
Corrective actions are due back from the responsible individual within 7 days after receipt.
An audit meeting will be held each month to report progress and discuss corrective actions.
Ensure complete familiarity and compliance with the company�s Basics program.
The General Manager will be notified immediately of any failure to comply with the Basics program.
Conduct Hangar compliance audits daily.
Reports all non-compliance to the GM.
Oversees the proper tagging and identification of all parts and components removed from any aircraft as outlined in the RSM.
Provides for continuity of Inspection Responsibility between shifts, ensuring completion of Required Inspection Items when personnel shift or assignment changes occur.
Ensures that rejected, unserviceable and scrap parts are handled in such a way as to prevent their reuse as serviceable parts.
Ensures that all non-routines or over and above work is approved by the customer representative.
Within 24 hours prior to aircraft re-delivery, an invoice notice is sent to accounting for invoicing of all work performed.
Pay close attention to all COD aircraft.
No aircraft will be released, that is COD without the approval of the CFO or Senior Management.
Ensures that the Technical Library is maintained in accordance with the QCM, RSM and all customer requirements.
Oversee and manage all facility training requirements, including orientation, respirator, technical and Haz Mat training.
Ensure that a Pre-Dock meeting is scheduled and conducted following the receipt of the Corporate Directive.
The meeting will be scheduled within 24 hours after receipt of the CD.
The ExVP Sales and Marketing will participate to provide customer and material information, the QC group is responsible for acquisition of all Technical data and the facility materials group is responsible for issuing all PO�s and tracking ETD of materials.
Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the company�s Calibrated Tool System.
Ensure that Precision Tools and Test Equipment are properly calibrated, set calibration intervals, and that the Company�s Calibration Records are kept current and calibration
stickers are installed on all tooling and equipment as prescribed by the program.
Maintain the facilitate Approved Vendors List.
Maintain the Customer approved RII and designated inspector roster as well as the RSM requirements for the supervisory and management roster.
Proceed immediately to any aircraft damage, incident or personnel injury.
Report situation to Senior Management after an assessment is made and the situation is contained.
Ensure the work dock location has the company workbook, aircraft drawings and all safety and company notices posted.
Audits of the workbook will be performed at the beginning of each shift, late morning, early afternoon and at the end of each shift.
Oversee daily audits of all EPA, environmental, powered equipment and the facilities will be conducted, and logged.
Submit all audit findings to the GM for immediate correction.
Accept all responsible instructions from the Accountable Manager.
All pay increases and bonuses are subject to the Chief Inspectors ability to manage to this snapshot, create a positive environment and work with the General Manager to make constant improvements to the facility and business climate, through the use of Action Logs and Senior Management prescribed goals for the facility.

Requirements:

The person must have an A&P License, with Inspection Authorization preferred.
